KINDNESS IS FREE

PBL - Term 1

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan and decided to do games with juniors ( which is the year 1/2 )or new entrance

Reflection:

How did our action build a sense of community in the school: getting to know them all and the new people for our final product our group: playing some nice games with the Kakano with the lovely children  and we got to know them a little bit better by seeing the games they liked to play. we did it on Monday and Friday half went on the backfield and the others went on the front court. On Friday we will switch  so me,Caoimhe, Ariella,  Corrine and Lily M will go on the back filed and Zac, Ethan, Eilish, Amelia and Julian will be on the front court. The children really liked it and we gave them a little treat and said why will they said why are you doing this and we said it is for showing kindness at the school or anywhere (Thanks Caoimhe for the lollipop)
hat started school and buy giving them a nice complement and giving them a treat/lollies or lollipop and i think they they really liked the little treat.

I contributed by letting the Kakono kids know how to play the same and agreeing on a nice game to play if they wanted to change the game then they had to agree on a diffract game.

I think the PBL might impact on others by the way I saw the game i think they really enjoyed it and they really liked the lollipops but we still have to do it for one more day and we need to see how that game will go hopefully it goes well

What I learned about working with others was: that some things that i think they wanted to do they didn't want to and that some times with little kids it's harder but at the end of the day it over and done with

And if you played games or if you were the one playing the games witch games would you want to play/why❓
